High Heels and Hay Bales is a sparkling, laugh-out-loud middle-grade romp that blends fashion, farming, and family into a story as sweet as summer lemonade and as delightfully chaotic as a barnyard full of toddlers. Keira Mueller delivers a tale that feels like Barbie wandered into Town Mouse and Country Mouse, resulting in pure fun.

The story follows the Prichardson triplets, Priscilla, Bella, and Lacy, daughters of the richest man on Earth and proud owners of more shoes than sense. Their dream summer includes beaches, boutiques, and breathtaking views of Paris or Santorini. Instead, they are shipped off to a rural farm in the middle of nowhere, a place where the Wi Fi is questionable and the nearest luxury spa is a distant memory. Their horror is immediate and dramatic, and honestly, a little relatable for anyone who has ever been dragged somewhere they did not want to go.

Enter Skylar and Cassidy, two hardworking country girls who know their way around tractors, livestock, and early mornings. They have zero patience for the Prichardsons’ glittery cluelessness, especially when the city girls arrive treating the farm like a fashion crime scene. The culture clash is instant, hilarious, and wonderfully over the top.
